DAY 2

CAIRO - ALEXANDRIA - CAIRO

06:00 HRS: Breakfast at hotel early morning, Transfer by road to Alexandria

Visit the Town of Alexandria (The Pompey’s Pillar, the Catacombs of Kom-Shogafa,

Pompey's Pillar is a Roman triumphal column in Alexandria, Egypt, and the largest of its type constructed outside the imperial capitals of Rome and Constantinople. The only known free-standing column in Roman Egypt which was not composed of drums, it is one of thelargest ancient monoliths and one of the largest monolithic columns ever erected.

The monolithic column shaft measures 20.46 m in height with a diameter of 2.71 m at its base. The weight of the single piece of redAswan granite is estimated at 285 tones. The column is 26.85 m high including its base and capital. Other authors give slightly deviating dimensions

Continue to visit Roman Theater and Citadel from outside

Return back to Cairo by coach through desert road

DAY 3

Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx Tour with Egyptian Museum of Antiquities

09:00 A.M.: Visit the pyramids of Giza and sphinx, The Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three Pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact, continue to visit the papyrus & Perfume factory where you will have some time for shopping.

Later Egyptian Museum of Antiquities which houses one of the world’s greatest collections of Egyptian artefacts.

Designed in the Neoclassical style by Marcel Dourgnon, the Egyptian Museum boasts 107 halls filled with artefacts dating from the prehistoric through the Roman periods, with the majority of the collection focused on the pharaonic era. The museum houses approximately 160,000 objects covering 5,000 years of Egypt's past

DAY 4

Citadel of Salah ElDien with shopping in the greatest famous market Khan Khalili Bazaar

11:00 - 14:00 HRS: Visit Citadel of Salah ElDienwhere you can see the Islamic culture and history as well the mosque of Mohamed Ali one of the biggest and oldest in Middle East

The Citadel was fortified by the Ayyubid ruler Salah al-Din (Saladin) between 1176 and 1183 CE, to protect it from the Crusaders.[1] Only a few years after defeating the Fatimid Caliphate, Saladin set out to build a wall that would surround both Cairo and Fustat. Saladin is recorded as saying, -With a wall I will make the two [cities of Cairo and Fustat] into a unique whole, so that one army may defend them both; and I believe it is good to encircle them with a single wall from the bank of the Nile to the bank of the Nile.- The Citadel would be the centerpiece of the wall. Built on a promontory beneath the Muqattam Hills, a setting that made it difficult to attack, the efficacy of the Citadel's location is further demonstrated by the fact that it remained the heart of Egyptian government until the 19th century. The citadel stopped being the seat of government when Egypt's ruler, Khedive Ismail, moved to his newly built Abdin Palace in the Ismailiyah neighbourhood in the 1860s. While the Citadel was completed in 1183–1184, the wall Saladin had envisioned was still under construction in 1238, long after his death. 13:30 HRS: Lunch at Soiree Restaurant with Indian food

15:00 HRS: End with shopping in the greatest famous market Khan Khalili Bazaar

The site of Khan el-Khalili was originally the site of the mausoleum known as the turbat az-za'faraan (Saffron Tomb), which was the burial site of the Fatimid caliphs. The mausoleum was part of the Fatimid Great Eastern Palace complex, begun in 970 AD by Gawhar al-Siqilli, the general who conquered Egypt for the Fatimid dynasty and founded Cairo that same year. 20:00 HRS: Dinner @ Smart 5* Nile Cruise

Enjoy your dinner on this Nile cruise watching a belly dancer and a Tanoura Sufi dance show. You can also go up to the sundeck to enjoy the view of Cairo - many great photo.
